American Aikikai
Federation, a nonprofit organization, aims to cultivate and
advise the practice and teachings of
aikido as endorsed by the
Aikikai
Association, and their present headquarters,
Hombu Dojo,
located in Tokyo, Japan and its founder
Morihei Ueshiba.
The goal of
American Aikikai Federation is to create an organization
that will unify
aikidoka, and not divide. It is to continue the walk on the path
of budo, one that was shown by the founder of aikido – Morihei
Ueshiba. True budo that comes from the unification of technique,
body, and heart. The budo, which will manifest itself. One that does
not depend upon the technique, but rather relies upon the heart of the
practitioner.
To walk this path, modern
aikidoka needs to get

to the very roots of Aikido. The place, where these roots and
traditions are cultivated and kept alive is its place of origin – Japan's
Hombu Dojo.
Unlike other politically and fiscally oriented
organizations,
American Aikikai
Federation following Japan's tradition offers its clean, modest,
honest, and true guidance, support, and fellowship, at the same time
searching for the unification of aikido.
To promote fairness
American Aikikai Federation arranges, endorses, and
administers demonstrations, seminars, and other Aikido related events. In
addition, it advances extracurricular activities of member dojos, and
groundwork research, cogitation, and learning and distributes information
and materials related to Aikido. |
